Reporting to the Head of Grants and Impact, this dynamic role works closely with both the Fundraising and Program teams.

Our next Grants and Impact Coordinator will be responsible for collecting and sharing out the story of Power To Be and our impact.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grant Coordination

  • Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the grants program.
  • Assist in identifying and researching new grant opportunities, funders and foundation/government prospects.
  • Draft, edit, track, and produce grant proposals as per their guidelines and deadlines.
  • Write letters of inquiry, grant proposals, interim and final reports.
  • Track proposal and report deadlines and deliverables.
  • Work closely with the program and finance team to identify grant requirements.
  • Support building the corporate and foundation pipeline through prospecting, research and inquiries.
  • Facilitate informed decisionmaking and quality improvement through the collection and reporting of information, while assisting with compliance reporting requirements.
  • Maintain brand standards when communicating with stakeholders.
Impact Coordination

  • Lead the coordination and collection of evaluation data, including facilitating evaluation sessions within programs.
  • Coordinate and manage evaluation data, including data entry and analysis.
  • Assist staff and/or train staff on effectively using evaluation systems, processes and tools.
  • Support evaluation procedures and paperwork; ensuring ethical guidelines, participant protection, privacy protection, risk management and other related policies and procedures are always followed.
  • Set up systems for evaluation and tracking processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to program team with progress reports, external and internal communications, program evaluation and tracking.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing, fundraising, and program teams to ensure impact is collected and reported accurately and consistently for a variety of audiences and stakeholders.
Operations

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Fundraising team, this includes data entry and organizational reporting.
  • Support the input and maintenance of data in Salesforce CRM.
  • Support the input and maintenance of data in the MAxQda Evaluation Software
  • Coordinate tracking grant deliverables.
  • Coordinate and write Quarterly Evaluation reports and present to the different departments
  • Support the development of the annual grants calendar and quarterly evaluation calendar.
  • Provide support to the creation and maintenance of administrative, logistics and facilities systems and procedures.
Perform other related duties, as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong written and oral communication.
  • Ability to prioritize and address emergent tasks.
  • Desire to work collaboratively across teams and take direction from more than one person.
  • Reliable writing, editing and proofreading abilities to ensure the submission of professional quality proposals and reports.
  • Ability to easily change writing styles to fit the audience and voice of the piece.
  • Strong administrative, analytical, and problemsolving ability.
  • Knowledge of the requirements and best practices related to producing written communications.
  • Knowledge of research and evaluation standards of practice, and using coding and analysis software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of confidentiality as it relates to financial stewardship.
  • Demonstrated skills in interview style of data collection.
Working Conditions

Requirements:

  • As per the Ministry of Justice requirements for organizations that work with vulnerable populations, A Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) will be required.
  • Proof of full vaccination against Covid19 required.
  • This is an onsite position at a remote location, the successful applicant must have the ability to reliably commute to our Prospect Lake site.
  • A combination of education in Business Communications or a related field and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have experience or proven interest working with a nonprofit organization.
  • 25 years of experience with grant writing and/or writing.
  • Strong project coordination and time management skills.

Assets:

  • Experience with evaluation, particularly familiarity with theories of change and working with coding and analysis software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
