Manager, International Account Development

The Manager, International Account Development, will be responsible for the overall growth, retention and deepening of client relationships with a strategic portfolio of accounts in GCG (Global Client Group) Canada. They will be a trusted advisor who provides Clients with strategic and proactive consultation on a variety of business objectives and payment solutions. The Manager will identify, develop and manage multiple relationships across the Client’s organization in order to ensure strong collaboration and prioritization of key initiatives. This role will require travel to customer locations, as well as the Toronto office for key partner meetings, team meetings, etc.
**Minimum Qualifications**:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Sales or Account Development.
- Ability to manage a portfolio of accounts; develop engagement strategy for base under management.
- Analyze individual company spend profile, validate against benchmarks and develop account expansion strategy.
- Conduct account reviews with decision makers and key stakeholders within each company.
- Exceptional relationship building experience, including the ability to develop relationships with senior executives and leadership teams across the organization.
- Proven ability to influence others.
- Global experience preferably with large complex global organizations.
- Strong understanding of treasury and procurement concepts and related technologies (P2P Platforms).
- Experience Managing External Client Relationships; Particularly Larger, More Complex Global Companies.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a solid ability to acquire knowledge and present products and financials.
- Strong problem solving and analysis abilities.
- Excellent written & verbal communications skills and presentation skills.
- Ability to think creatively, manage up, down and across the organization.
- Results-oriented. Attention to detail and innovative thought leader.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- This role requires strong organizational and communication skills.
- Core competencies include strong customer facing capabilities, commercial card industry knowledge and experience and the ability to understand the technical aspects of commercial cards as well as strong leadership and sales skills.
