Overview

Are you a customer-service focused individual with good attention to detail? and a wiz with spreadsheets to provide varied administrative support? We’re looking for experienced **Facilities Assistant** for our Facilities division. This department is responsible for real estate and space accommodation, infrastructure planning, and operations management to all our offices throughout the province.

**Where you’ll work**

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a **hybrid work model** that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position. In this role, you’ll work primarily from your B.C. home and occasionally in our Richmond office.

What you'll do

**As a Facilities Assistant you will**:

- Receive and act upon requests for service, parts, and equipment by liaising with sub-contractors and suppliers regarding standing offer agreement matters
- Assist in the budget process by participating in analysis, forecasting, tracking, compilation, and report production
- Process invoices and use Excel to create and maintain cost distribution spreadsheets and status reports
- Monitor and maintain routine contracts such as landscaping contracts
- Liaise and communicate with various clients including managers, staff, sub-contractors, and suppliers
- Provide relief support for the facilities reception desk, responding to phone and in-person inquiries
