**LabX Media Group is looking to hire an SEO Manager to join our fast growing team.** This role will be responsible for working with business and editorial stakeholders to set up and execute content & technical SEO strategies that drive growth in organic traffic which aligns with specific business KPIs. To measure the impact of these efforts, you will help set up and oversee SEO dashboards/reports so that scaling of successful strategies can be achieved. You will do this by campaigning these strategies and overall best practices in line with other company projects and priorities. Ideally, you have a diverse skill set across both technical and editorial optimization and are very comfortable communicating with both spectrums of teams.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop content strategies and educate large editorial teams across LabX Media Group brands to improve organic growth
- Conduct deep and regular dives into indexation, crawling and rendering to identify actionable improvements with web development teams
- Propose and design SEO experiments to test hypotheses
- Translate algorithmic changes and emerging search trends into optimization strategies
- Be a trusted SEO advocate by collaborating with other teams to lead important projects and ensure that scalable best practices for search are incorporated
- Educate employees from multiple departments on SEO strategies and best practices
- Define measurable goals and metrics, set priorities and manage a backlog; work with marketing, development, product & international teams to achieve those goals.
- Identify new SEO growth opportunities with technical audits, data/traffic analysis and competitive research

**Requirements**:

- 6+ years of SEO experience, preferably with enterprise size domains (hundreds of thousands of URLs or more) with demonstrable ROI
- Extremely self-organized with strong leadership skills
- Experience working with large editorial teams with organic search traffic upwards of 500k sessions per month.
- Experience working with developers to implement technical SEO changes
- Collaborate with marketing, product, design, and development teams with competing agendas to promote and defend SEO internally
- Strong comprehension of E-E-A-T
- Manage and report on SEO performance, on-going and ad-hoc
- Competent in competitive research and analysis to identify gaps and opportunities
- Excellent presentation and communication skills to discuss SEO topics to a wide audience with different backgrounds
- Extensive experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics
- Expert knowledge of SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, SurferSEO or equivalent
- Looker Studio (formally Data Studio) experience is an asset
- Experience working in an agile environment, comfortable with work management software such as Jira.
- Always up-to-date on relevant digital marketing trends

**Additional strengths considered beneficial**
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies such as CSS/Schema/HTML, page speed, DOM, APIs, SQL
- An understanding of log file analysis, crawl records, large datasets and other technical web other analytics data
- Experienced Excel function skills
- Experience utilizing enterprise class technical SEO tools such as onCrawl, Deep Crawl, Botify and others
- Utilization of tools such as Lighthouse, CrUX, New Relic for page speed and site performance optimization
- Paid ad optimization
