Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Territory Account Manager is responsible for the initiation, development and growth of our commercial customer base in South Western Ontario. This role would be based out of our Chatham market and cover the territory including Windsor, Leamington, Sarnia, and London areas. The Territory Sales Representative will market and sell Superior Propane’s products and services to new customers and successfully achieve predefined sales goals and objectives in the SW Ontario Region.
You will bring a proven track record in consultative selling and strong sales leadership, with a clearly defined process from lead generation through to revenue realization.
**What you'll do**:
- Provide leadership to your business partners by improving attrition and growing the commercial business portfolio.
- Collaborate with your business partners (Market Manager, Service Coordinator, Delivery Coordinator) to develop, recommend and execute a sales plan that leverages national and regional programs and resources to consistently meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Prospect, research, and identify new business opportunities and work the sales plan to create awareness, discover client needs, and deliver product and service solutions
- Prepare and confidently present sales proposals, including pricing and product/service terms, to key decision makers. Influence, negotiate and close the sale with the best interest of the company and the customer in mind.
- Collaborate with and engage your teammates and business partners to ensure the needs of the customer can be and will be met.
- Communicate regularly and prepare reports on key performance indicators and communication on sales progress within the sales funnel/cycle and achievements. Intimately knows customer base and area activity and utilizes information and data to capitalize on sales opportunities and recommend sales strategies.
- Provide initial account maintenance and customer service to ensure customer needs are met.
- Promote and represent Superior Propane positively and professionally within the community and industry to all customers, competitors and industry associates.
**What you bring**:
- Post-Secondary education or professional certification or equivalent courses
- Five (5) to 10 years sales experience
- Exceptional customer service skills and relationship management skills
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Business acumen, financial and analytical skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Superior organization and time management skills
- Problem solving skills
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Salesforce an asset)
- Knowledge of the propane, construction, industrial and agricultural industries an asset
- Valid Driver’s License
