**Job Purpose**:
Thurston Machine Co. Ltd. (TMC) is a leading player in the Fabrication, Welding, and Machining Industry. This role will plan and execute on our continued growth by identifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities within our scope.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Participate in the development of yearly strategic sales plan and marketing plans that align with TMC KPI’s and targets.
- Deliver the full life cycle of business development activities, including market analysis, account planning and management, opportunity identification and qualification and overall pipeline management.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our complete capabilities, staying abreast of industry advancements to effectively articulate the technical features and benefits of our capabilities.
- Develop and support strategic client relationship management, including shop tours, client site visits, business reviews and client entertainment.
- Collaborate with the Division Sales Team to develop and implement effective sales strategies, including pricing models, product positioning, and competitive differentiation.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and customer interactions in CRM software to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to address technical inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Create, update, and manage the Thurston Machine social media accounts as per the yearly Sales Plan.
- Keep abreast of trade shows and customer events and determine proper support.
- Provide support and/or lead other market initiatives, as required.
- Support the tracking of Non-Disclosure Agreements / Confidentiality Agreements as required.
- Support contract negotiations with key accounts as needed.

**Management Responsibilities**:

- Facilitate regular updates with the estimating team for alignment on direction and opportunities.
- Maintain understanding of current work loads to ensure targeted sales across departments.
- Develop / maintain KPI’s - Implement action plans to drive success.
- Maintain communication across all departments and shop floor for feedback and alignment.

**Experience and Skill Set**:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or a related field or a minimum of 5-years of related sales experience
- Strong technical acumen and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling value propositions for clients.
- Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in machining and fabrication or a related industry.
- Successful legacy of meeting goals for consecutive years.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
