**JOB DESCRIPTION**

The Human Resources Manager will lead the planning and coordinate the direction of human resource management activities. DHM’s business objectives are to build a positive employee relationship through performance management, engagement, developmental learning with the diversity of inclusivity based on the regulatory compliance and ad hoc projects as needed. The Human Resources Manager oversees all aspects of human resources to ensure that the Homes consistently meet Dynamic Health Management’s Inc.’s (“DHM”) expectations.

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support management and staff through the confidential resolution of complex human resources issues
- Serve as a link between management and employee by handling questions, interpreting, and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems
- Address employee behavior, and performance issues and resolve conflicts between employees as needed
- Complete investigations into employee concerns and complaints, ensuring the applicable company and legislated processes are being followed
- Ensures payroll-related changes (e.g., new hires, terminations, benefits) and ensuring accuracy of sick, vacation, and overtime balances for all staff
- In collaboration with the Health, Safety and Risk Management team, coordinate and support the administration and deployment of health and safety programs
- Administer compensation of benefits and performance management system, and safety and recreation programs
- Assess the organizational culture of workers to provide feedback and recommendations to management on ways to improve employee performance and engagement
- Ensures compliance with various legislations including Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, and Labor Code
- Support with understaffing, employee dismissals including administer corrective action
- Plan and conduct new employee orientations to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectives

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in human resources
- Long-term care/retirement home and/or other healthcare sector is an asset
- Must have Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation
- Demonstrable organization for efficiency and innovation
- Proficient in attention to detail, listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to performed with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at a customized or uniform level
- Maintains an in-depth understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety, and Ontarians with Disability Act
