**SCOPE**
Reporting to the Associate Director, Alumni Engagement, the incumbent will lead, manage, and coordinate alumni career service activities, including the creation and coordination of professional development programming and partnerships with campus colleagues to create experiential learning opportunities for Concordia students.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop and maintain all aspects of the Alumni Career Services program including the creation of an annual suite of professional development outreach opportunities. Develops strategic follow-up and aligns programming and speakers with campaign priorities and prospects.
- Independently create strategy for the ongoing enhancement of the online mentor program. Provide training, cultivation and maintenance for the mentor platform. Maintain relationship with platform vendor and oversee upgrades and transitions as required.
- Research industry trends to identify key markets to leverage for connections and networks. Cultivate knowledge and understanding of EL programs to effectively communicate benefits of hiring Concordia students to prospective organizations and alumni. Maintain a working knowledge of local and national employment market trends and their actual and potential impact of hiring interns.
- Collaborate and coordinate with relevant units to engage alumni prospects to create Experiential Learning opportunities for Concordia students. Develop the alumni / employer prospect pipeline and triage opportunities for partnerships with appropriate campus EL units (co-op institute, BTO program, Ripen, etc). Meets and follows-up with alumni interested in offering EL opportunities to Concordia students; develops stewardship program for this network.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with key prospects, mentors and donors through ACS programming. Ensures strategic and timely follow-up and coordination with prospect managers.
- Provide guidance and advice to UA colleagues about alumni career service based engagement and best practices at all levels and stages.
- Meet and communicate regularly with key campus contacts, e.g. CAPS, CMS, CCE to develop appropriate career services for alumni.
- Convene the ACS council around a collaborative vision for career development opportunities on campus.
- Establish metrics for success based on unit engagement goals; provide regular reporting and updates.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with other university advancement colleagues in support of combined mission and goals.
- Ensure information (contact and follow up) is properly entered on the alumni database.
- Identify, connect and engage prospects in Montreal and in key regions around the world through career and professional specific programming and outreach. Help qualify these graduates in order to feed the prospect pipeline.
- Recruit, train and lead volunteers and staff.
- Perform other duties in support of the unit.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s Degree and two to four years of related work experience, previous experience in association or non-profit management, preferably in alumni relations in a university setting. Experience in the management of volunteers is essential.
- Very good knowledge (Level 5) of spoken and written English in order to draft reports and to speak eloquently on behalf of Concordia University. Good knowledge (Level 4) of spoken and written French in order to give promotional presentations and to draft correspondence.
- Good knowledge (Intermediate level) of Word, Excel (to use mathematical, statistical and financial functions), and PowerPoint (to work with graphics and animation).
- Demonstrated sales, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously.
