**About the role**
- Accountability for financial analytics for Investment Solutions products, and expense and AUM components (sales, redemption rates) with specific focus on channel strategy for SLGI.
- Key partners within the business include Strategy & Analytics, Product & Pricing, Valuation and Finance. Partners also include Canadian Finance, Actuarial, Strategy teams as well as those related to active initiatives: ALM, Capital, Business Development. Partnerships with GRS, CS and SLFD are also key.

**What you’ll do**
- For SLGI Asset Management Inc. retail and institutional mutual fund business, seg fund, accumulation and payout annuities, Trust GICs:

- Evaluates financial performance and makes recommendations through insightful management reporting by demonstrating engagement and collaboration with business partners.
- Collaborate on development and monitoring of short-term incentive compensation plans for retail wholesale teams, working with Head of Retail Sales, HR, Compliance and President of SLGI to provide confidence in effectiveness
- Support financial and business driver assessments of key initiatives and business projects.
- Support the delivery of key long-term projection-oriented deliverables, including Strategic and Business Plans.
- Identification of levers and action value creation in new business and in force.
- Demonstrate outcomes through development of strategic metric reporting for SLGI
- Enhance reporting of strategic metrics for the business for both client, financial, and market share
- Work with partners to develop multi-year target setting, with a focus on sales channels and strategic levers
- Liaise with partners to build out data requirements needed to maintain advanced metric reporting
- Maintain strong partnership with Investment Solutions Analytics team for governance of data, and maintenance / operation of "Penumbra" as Analytics continues to develop.

**What you’ll need to succeed**
- MBA, CPA or other Finance designation, preferred
- Capable of distilling complex concepts into simple key messages and insights
- Analytical thinking - designs/orchestrates use of business analytics for strategic decision making
- Results oriented and critical thinking - high sense of ownership
- Problem solving skills with a natural curiosity for root cause analysis to identify key levers of financial and operational performance
- Strong business acumen - big picture understanding of business, interrelationships, priorities
- Demonstrated strength and ability to design and implement processes and standards
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- facilitation, negotiation and issue resolution skills
- Strong relationship management and influencing skills with a focus on client orientation, facilitation, and negotiation.
- Excellent people leadership skills
