Job Description

Looking for a talented Director of Financial Planning, Reporting and Analytics (FP&A) to join a multinational pharmaceutical and medical device company. The ideal candidate should be a strong leader with excellent organizational, analytical, and influencing skills. This role involves collaborating closely with the North American management team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a dynamic financial team supporting various finance functions including reporting, forecasting, planning, and analysis to drive business success.
  • Collaborate with operational and sales leaders to ensure accurate financial budgeting and forecasting, identifying variances and suggesting improvements.
  • Provide customized financial analyses and guidance to regional leaders to enable informed decision-making.
  • Offer decision support services to management at all levels and actively contribute as a key member of the leadership team.
  • Oversee cost analysis for current and upcoming business initiatives, working with executives and managers to evaluate opportunities.
  • Partner with the Regional Accounting Manager to understand the financial reporting cycle and implement new operational processes for improved efficiency.
  • Manage and lead an analytical finance team, focusing on employee development and performance monitoring.
  • Analyze financial results to propose cost reduction strategies, efficiency enhancements, and overall improvements.
  • Play a crucial role in developing and monitoring performance metrics to track progress towards company objectives.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting for customer contracts and conduct credit analyses for clients.
  • Develop expertise in reporting systems and lead enhancements to reporting and dashboard capabilities.
  • Promote open and effective communication across all financial team levels.
  • Maintain high ethical standards and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Undertake additional duties and special projects as needed within the finance department.
  • Occasional travel to the US, Brazil, and Europe may be required.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
  • Certified Public Accountant or equivalent designation with 7-10 years of related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, and costing principles, including GAAP.
  • Experience with financial reporting systems like SAP and Microsoft AX.
  • Strong organizational skills, timeliness, and accuracy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
