**Title: Facilitator, Kingston Immigration Partnership (KIP)**

Reports to: Coordinator, KIP

Location: On and off site; KCHC locations

Position Type: Full-time Permanent, 35 hours per week

Start Date: Immediately

**Salary**: $46,337 - $54,509 per year

**Position Summary**

The Facilitator, KIP will be responsible for programming and outreach activities of KIP. The Facilitator will work within guidelines set out by the KIP Council and strategic action plan to facilitate and/or directly organize the implementation of various activities, events, and programs related to achieving KIP deliverables and objectives.

Program Facilitation
- Perform outreach in the local community to promote KIP objectives, build positive relationships, assist in the identification of community needs, build partnerships for the implementation of the KIP work plan.
- Support the work of all established working groups.
- Coordinate on-going KIP projects and activities and organizes KIP meetings, events, information sessions and collaborations.
- Develop and initiate new projects and activities, in accordance with the work plan and directives of the Council; partnering with local groups whenever possible.
- Support the evaluation of KIP projects, activities and groups.
- Liaise with stakeholders and community partners.
- Foster positive and innovative working relationships with other Local Immigration Partnerships (LIPs).
- Support the delivery of all funder targets.
- Remain well informed of trends, needs and opportunities related to immigration at municipal, regional provincial, national levels, and global levels. Also remain well informed of community needs related to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Indigenization and Accessibility (EDIIA).
- Understand and promote opportunities for immigration to support and drive economic recovery and development.

**Organizational Responsibilities**
- Comply with all relevant legislation and KCHC policies, including privacy laws
- Commit to acquiring an understanding of the importance of trauma responsiveness and the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
- Commit to demonstrating an ongoing commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Indigenization and Accessibility (EDIIA) by representing the diverse nature of our communities, promoting and practicing inclusion
- Support KCHC’s student and volunteer placement programs
- Promote awareness of and participation in KCHC activities
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and quality improvement
- On occasion, perform other temporary duties as required

**Basic Education and Experience Requirements**
- Undergraduate degree in social sciences, community development, cultural studies and/or business
- 3-5 years of successful project facilitation or coordination in a community based setting, including demonstrated ability to organize multiple tasks and responsibilities and meet deadlines

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Ability to organize and build collaborative action and community motivation across a broad range of community sectors
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key project stakeholders
- Ability to organize large events in coordination with partners
- Motivated, resourceful, team player, with an ability to work effectively as part of a team, or independently
- Knowledge of immigration issues, diversity issues, economic development and/or human resources issues would be considered an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, commitment to being a “team player”
- Strong organizational skills and above average attention to detail

**Other Requirements**
- Current and satisfactory Criminal and Vulnerable Persons Check
- French or other language is an asset
- Ability to work flexible hours, long days and occasional evenings and weekends
