**Position Title**: Desktop Support Analyst
**Location**: Markham, ON
**Reports To**:IT Director
HSIO, a division of Amphenol, is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom/Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning markets (Mobile Networks, Data Centers, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our global headquarters are in Nashua, NH, and we have global design, sales and manufacturing locations.
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented IT Desktop Support Analyst to join our IT team.
**WHAT DOES A DESKTOP SUPPORT ANALYST DO?**
**Roles and responsibilities**:
**Technical Troubleshooting**: Identify and resolve hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently. Collaborate with the IT team to escalate and address complex problems.
**System Maintenance**: Conduct routine maintenance activities on desktop systems and associated hardware. Ensure antivirus and security software are up to date on all devices.
**User Training**:Conduct user training sessions to enhance end-users understanding of technology. Create and update user guides and documentation.
**Asset Management**: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals. Coordinate asset procurement, inventory management, and disposal.
**Remote Support**: Provide remote assistance to off-site users, ensuring consistent support quality.
**Collaboration**: Collaborate with other IT team members to address complex technical issues.
Work closely with IT leadership to implement and improve IT processes.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Networking, or related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience
- Proficient in MS Office 365 (install, setup, & troubleshooting)
- Knowledge in Networking (DHCP, DNS)
- Experience with VMware or other hypervisors
- Customer Service experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory -(preferred)
- Intermediate hardware & software troubleshooting skills in Microsoft Windows based environment
