In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of strategic dashboards and reports for senior management, utilizing your expertise in Microsoft BI technologies (SQL, Power BI, Excel).

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who's currently a Sr. Accountant at a firm to branch out into industry and work in a fast-paced publicly traded company. As a Financial Data Analyst - Business Intelligence Specialist, you will perform quality assurance to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and usability of all reports before they are released. You will also create documentation of the technical specifications related to the reports, extract, transform, and analyze complex information from various database and systems/software, and support the development of the data architecture for Business Intelligence.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, Math, or related discipline with a Chartered Professional Accounting Designation (Canadian), and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in large organizations or accounting firms using Microsoft BI technologies. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to break down complex accounting terms and data in simplified format, and possess strong organizational and time management skills with a sense of urgency and accountability.
