Manager, Co-branded Sales

We are currently seeking Manager, Co-Branded Sales who can be nice, will seek inspiration from our roots, can commit to achieving results the right way and loves to think big to join us on our journey.
The Manager, Co-Branded Sales will demonstrate an unwavering passion for the Roots brand, consistently embodying, and reinforcing company values in all brand-building efforts. They will identify and implement sales initiatives and opportunities across diverse sectors such as corporate business, colleges/universities, camps, teams, TV/film production, and special events, with a focus on building enhancing brand relationships.
**They will be responsible for and evaluated on the following**:
- Spearheading the creation, development, and execution of profitable brand-enhancing sales initiatives to consistently exceed targets, placing an elevated emphasis on nurturing relationships that contribute to brand building.
- Formulating and implementing sales strategies designed to surpass key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales targets.
- Cultivating brand-enhancing co-branded sales initiatives with a wide array of customers, partnerships, and relationships, emphasizing the role of these collaborations in brand building.
- Establishing and nurturing relationships with key customers, both existing and new, leveraging a profound understanding of Roots' product offerings and value proposition to create lasting brand connections.
- Overseeing and providing direction and support for custom sales generation, including managing production and embellishment timelines with an awareness of time-sensitive opportunities.
- Creating innovative and tailored sales solutions for clients, concurrently establishing, monitoring, and maintaining wholesale pricing and margin structures that reinforce the brand's value.
- Managing stock inventory to ensure the assortment and level align with brand objectives, capturing fast-turn new sales opportunities that contribute to brand elevation.
- Generating detailed sales performance reports, royalty analyses, and comprehensive reports on a regular basis to inform and guide brand-building strategies.
- Preparing annual and project budgets aligned with organizational objectives, emphasizing investments that fuel brand development.
- Collaborating with internal teams to maximize fast-turn sales opportunities for both the business-to-business channel and key custom wholesale initiatives/collaborations, with an overarching focus on enhancing the Roots brand.
- Initiating and leading the creation and update of best-in-class business and sales tools, including sales presentations, decks, price lists, online products, and business features, as well as product catalogues/pamphlets which showcase the brand’s unique and custom offerings for ease of the customer journey.
- Leading the participation in key industry-related trade shows and events that contribute to the brand's visibility and influence.
- Minimum 7 years of sales leadership and account management experience within the apparel industry, with leather product sales experience is an asset. Specifically, business-to-business/corporate sales experience is required.
- Minimum 5 years' experience leading and motivating a sales team.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience, specifically working with production and logistics stakeholders to ensure alignment with launch dates.
- Previous experience identifying sales development opportunities, from conception, to forging relationships and contract management and production, with a focus on brand enhancing, profitable and feasible to execute opportunities.
- Collaborative with strong relationship building skills, coupled with engaging communication and influencing skills.
- Dynamic individual, creative and innovative thinker as it relates to product ideas, sales opportunities, and partnerships.
- Equipped to capture and close custom sales opportunities with high-profile customers, both new and existing.
- Highly organized, ability to balance sales across various categories and channels, while meeting deadlines.
- Strong financial acumen, with demonstrated understanding of retail/wholesale math, including analyzing sales, margin, and royalty data. Previous experience of preparing and managing annual budgets and project budgets.
- Demonstrated experience in setting wholesale pricing and margin structure for co-branded business-to-business sales, as well as wholesale/retail programs.
