**Résumé**

Relevant du Gestionnaire des Opérations, le Technicien de centre de données est responsable des opérations quotidiennes dans nos centres de données de l'installation et à la fermeture physique des serveurs, à la pose du câblage, ainsi qu'à l'installation de base de certains périphériques réseau. Le technicien sera appelé à collaborer avec des administrateurs système travaillant à l'extérieur des centres de données

**Vos responsabilités**
- Installation et câblage de serveurs rackmounts ainsi que de matériel réseau
- Maintenir et améliorer le câblage du centre de données
- Livraison et réception de matériel dans les centres de données
- Maintenir les inventaires et faire des audits hebdomadaires
- Répondre rapidement et avec minutie aux requêtes techniques des autres départements
- Diagnostiquer des problèmes techniques matériels et les corriger
- Tester tout le matériel informatique entrant et sortant en suivant un processus d'assurance qualité
- Vérifier le bon fonctionnement et réinitialiser des équipements électriques
- Toutes autres tâches administratives connexes.

Compétences techniques et habiletés
- Connaissance des différentes composantes matérielles utilisées dans un serveur
- Être en mesure de poser un diagnostic de problème matériel et l'appliquer en vue de résoudre une problématique
- Mettre des configurations matérielles à jour
- Capacité à installer du câblage (fibre et rj45)
- Capacité à gérer un inventaire
- Connaissances de base des systèmes d'exploitation Linux et Windows
- Connaissances des outils de prise de contrôle à distance (SSH, rdesktop, KVM-IP)
- Apte à soulever des charges de 50lbs
- Français parlé et écrit. L'anglais est un atout.
- License de conduire classe 5

**This position is for nigth hours**

**Summary**

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Data Center Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operations in our data centers from the installation and physical shutdown of servers, to the installation of cabling, as well as the basic installation of some network devices. The technician will be required to collaborate with system administrators working outside the data centers.

**Your responsibilities**
- Installation and cabling of rackmount servers and network equipment
- Maintain and improve the data center cabling
- Deliver and receive equipment in the data centers
- Maintain inventories and perform weekly audits
- Respond quickly and thoroughly to technical requests from other departments
- Diagnose and correct technical hardware problems
- Test all incoming and outgoing hardware following a quality assurance process
- Verify proper operation and reset electrical equipment
- All other related administrative tasks.

**Requirements: (hard or technical skills)**

Technical skills and abilities
- Knowledge of the different hardware components used in a server
- Update hardware configurations
- Ability to install cabling (fiber and rj45)
- Ability to manage an inventory
- Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
- Knowledge of remote control tools (SSH, rdesktop, KVM-IP)
- Able to lift loads of 50lbs
- French spoken and written. English is an asset.
- Class 5 driver's license
