Safety and Guest Experience Manager

**Position Summary**
The Safety and Guest Experience Manager will lead the efforts to maintain a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all guests, staff, and performers. This individual will be responsible for developing house rules, managing on-site safety protocols, training staff, addressing guest concerns, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. As a crucial member of our team, you will foster an environment of care, professionalism, and inclusivity.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Safety & Risk Management**
- Develop, implement, and oversee safety protocols and policies for both guests and staff.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure the venue complies with local safety regulations, including fire codes, health standards, and crowd control measures.
- Lead emergency preparedness efforts, including training staff on evacuation procedures, first aid, and crisis management.
- Monitor the venue during operational hours to proactively address potential safety concerns.
**Guest Experience**
- Act as the primary point of contact for all safety-related guest concerns, complaints, or feedback, ensuring timely and empathetic resolutions.
- Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere, ensuring all guests feel welcomed and respected.
- Collaborate with the team to continuously improve the guest experience by addressing pain points and gathering feedback.
**Staff Training & Support**
- Provide training to staff on safety protocols, conflict de-escalation, and fostering inclusive environments.
- Work closely with team members to ensure professional and consistent interactions with guests.
- Support team members during high-stress situations to maintain a calm and organized atmosphere.
**Compliance & Reporting**
- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing regulations and other venue requirements.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate safety-related updates to the management team.
- Stay informed of local policies and best practices for venue management and guest safety.
**Qualifications**
**Required Skills and Experience**
- Proven experience in safety management, hospitality, or event coordination.
- Strong understanding of crowd management, conflict resolution, and emergency response protocols.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations tactfully.
- Commitment to inclusivity and creating a safer space for diverse communities.
**Preferred Skills**
- Previous experience in hospitality or event venues is highly valued.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, or emergency management are an asset.
- Knowledge of provincial and municipal regulations for entertainment venues.

Contract length: 5 months
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
