A permanent full-time opportunity to join the Human Resources team as our
**Human Resources Coordinator** is available. This opportunity requires an energetic, creative, and client-focused individual to provide administrative support to the Manager of Human Resources, Staffing and Payroll, as well as the Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Team.

**Responsibilities**
- Greet all visitors to the HR department, answer questions, and triage for the appropriate staff member to assist
- Support Labour Relations by booking meetings, preparing materials for arbitration, collective bargaining as required
- Preparing confidential and sensitive documents, proposals and presentations for workshops and meetings
- Administrative support includes preparing meeting materials, taking minutes for committee meetings, correspondence, and reports, learning packages as assigned
- Assist with report generation and creation as required by the Human Resources team
- Provide administrative support for recognition and retention initiatives
- Coordination and support of onboarding and offboarding activities
- Following accounting and purchasing procedures for the department, processing PO’s and invoices
- Prepare confirmation of employment letters and confirmation of hours letters
- Create, archive, and maintain employee files
- Support the payroll function, through data entry, pulling reports, monitoring inbox etc.
- Assist with entry of employee changes, demographics in applicable systems as required
- Provides other administrative duties for the management team as required
- Provides back up support to other members of the Human Resources team as required

Job Requirements:
**Requirements & Competencies**
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 to 3 years of Human Resources experience and/or equivalent experience, striving to pursue continuing professional development through the HRPA designation program or other related educational opportunities.
- Experience in a unionized environment is an asset
- Experience providing committee/meeting support and minute taking
- Computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Previous payroll related experience an asset
- Strong communication skills (written/oral) and interpersonal skills
- Strong client focus with an awareness of and sensitivity to diversity
- Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Creative problem-solver
- Excellent follow-through skills and proven ability to take initiative
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with strong multi-tasking and prioritizing abilities
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and operate with discretion in sensitive situations
- Ability to adjust work schedule to accommodate organizational needs
- Bilingual French/English is an asset
