Associate - Product Management

**What is the opportunity?**

RBC Investor Services (IS) is one of the leading providers of asset servicing solutions in the Canadian market. Our Product Management team plays a key role in our success, determining the strategic direction of our products, working with clients and the wider market to prioritize investment funding, and ensuring RBC balances excellent client services with a scalable and commercially viable business and operating model.

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to support the Product Team within RBC IS You will help drive the overall product strategy, direction and profitability for all Investor Services products by providing valuable analysis, project management, research and process documentation support.

**What will you do?**
- Support delivery of Product objectives and initiatives with world-class business and data analysis
- Champion the deployment of emerging data capabilities within our business to accelerate the shift to a data driven business and product management culture
- Work with Product Owner(s) and teams to determine priorities and address the key challenges/issues/opportunities inherent in the Product
- Develop deep understanding of the profitability (P&L) of Products, including data driven knowledge of revenue/expense drivers & profitability opportunities
- Collaborate with Product Owners and internal partners to develop detailed business cases to support proposals for strategic investment into the Product set
- Complete periodic competitor analysis to understand market trends and use this to help influence future product decisions
- Work with Product owners to develop a clear product roadmap and use data-based analysis to ensure/demonstrate appropriate client/market fit
- Conduct analysis on the development of product-related change and ensure it remains aligned to existing regulation and/or internal RBC policies
- Support the design of the product operating model(s), product standards and technical stack/architecture, with an objective to simplify and drive efficiency
- Develop data driven models that support hypotheses for the evolution of pricing strategies for all Investor Services Product and participate in client/industry engagement meetings & support the preparation process for same

**What do you need to succeed?**

**Must-have**
- BA or BSc in business, or other relevant
- 1-3 years’ experience in Financial Services, Consulting or a Fintech environment.
- Desire to learn about Financial Services and the Asset Management industry in particular.
- Experience working with complex datasets and identifying means to leverage data for business value.
- Strong knowledge of MS Power BI and MS Office tools including PPT, XLS, DOC etc.
- Coding or data science knowledge/capability an advantage.
- Excellent organizational, communication (written/verbal) and networking skills.

**Nice-to-have**
- MBA, post-graduate in business or finance
- Professional qualifications from a recognized industry body
