As part of the Individual Insurance Product Management team, the **Associate Product Manager **works to have a deep understanding of our products, customers, and partners. They, will lead day-to-day product management activities, executing our health & dental and/or travel roadmap, monitoring and servicing our in-force blocks of business, and leading in product research, design, and development of our roadmap to ensure we have a highly competitive, attractive, and sustainable product shelf.

In this role you will:

- Develop, support, and execute product enhancements ; this includes helping to drive and shape our heath & dental and/or travel product shelf and roadmap by providing recommendations and specifications that are based on thorough research, and lead the efforts to execute it with excellence (testing, impact assessments, measurement, etc.)
- Focus on delivering the highest value for our customers with the simplest design
- Act as business owner and manage day-to-day needs of existing products/services; manage multiple projects and meet challenging deadlines
- Gather and maintain competitive information on our product offering and pricing position
- Partner with the account management and marketing teams to support development, compliance, and maintenance of marketing collateral materials and key messaging
- Lead in-force product renewals for internal stakeholders including all aspects of product features, product/contract/policy wording, delivery processes, performance, pricing and profitability
- Handle inquiries and/or issues from internal stakeholders (claims, contact centres, sales, etc.), and resolve problems, identifying and implementing appropriate process or service improvements
- Actively engage in industry education and legislative governance teams
- Research new approaches to innovate, automate, accelerate and overall improve the customer experience, whether that is through our direct-to-consumer, partner, or advisor distribution channels

We are looking for people who have a strong subset of the following experience and/or skills:

- Product management
- Health & dental industry experience/designations (individual or group insurance)
- Travel industry experience/designations
- PowerPoint intermediate/advanced user
- Excel and/or Power BI intermediate/advanced user
- Familiar with pricing principles/risk and profit implications
- Product owner and/or Agile
- Human-centered design (HCD)
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Undergraduate degree (Health Sciences, Business or Finance fields as assets)
- Manulife Affinity Markets experience
- Manulife systems experience - health & dental and/or travel

And someone who is:

- A fast learner
- Accountable
- Analytical, can solve problems and can manage complexity such as the varying provincial plans in the health & dental industry (includes numerical analysis)
- Logical and can balance conflicting benefits such as financial vs. customer experience vs. risk
- An exceptional communicator, both oral and written, can influence when necessary and can produce a sound business case
- Excellent with relationships, particularly in a matrix environment
- Organized, good with details, and can prioritize competing asks
- Empathetic
- Team-minded and collaborative, but can also self-manage and deliver quality work independently
- Happy to have fun at work

$68,775.00 CAD - $114,625.00 CAD
