Reporting to the President and CEO, and as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Vice President & Chief Financial
Officer is responsible for developing financial strategies that impact and influence the decision-making of the enterprise. The CFO
will support the Executive team, Board and committees in establishing the financial strategy, planning and priorities for Manitoba
Hydro while ensuring the organization meets its financial objectives. The CFO provides broad direction regarding regulatory affairs.

**_ Strategic priorities and mandate:_**
- Serve as an active member of the Executive Leadership Team promoting its effectiveness, development, and integration

across the enterprise in service of Manitoba Hydro's business needs and strategic objectives.
- Support the Executive team, Boards and committees in establishing long term and short-term corporate strategy, financial

planning and priorities for Manitoba Hydro while ensuring the organization meets its financial objectives.
- Develop strategies, monitor and influence regulations concerning MH including regulatory affairs.
- Establish effective engagement with government(s) and key stakeholders with respect to financial strategy and policy issues.
- Ensure financial integrity and provide timely internal and external financial reporting to drive decision making and performance
- while keeping costs as low as possible.- Determine and execute the financing and risk management plans that identify and optimally meet the needs of Manitoba
- Hydro- Build and maintain effective relationships across the enterprise and with key external stakeholders such as regulatory bodies,
- suppliers, government agencies, industry groups to advance organizational priorities.- Drive operational excellence, maximize experience, and increase value through supply chain management.
- Ensure the Internal Audit function is fully enabled and supported from an administrative perspective.
- Integrate best practice, audit and continuous improvement into internal processes and controls.
- Attract and retain the talent to shape the culture needed to drive strategy.

Accountant (CPA) designation and/ or MBA in Accounting/ Finance, complemented by minimum of ten years progressive,

experience may be considered.
- In depth knowledge and understanding of the electric and gas utility industries both locally and globally.
- In depth experience across corporate functional areas and lines of business with preferred experience working in a regulated
- environment.- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute activities to achieve organizational objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to define, plan and shape strategies and initiatives that set direction for the business unit.
- Experience leading critical enterprise-wide initiatives that involved mobilizing people and resources across the organization.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

with key internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, suppliers, government agencies and industry groups
to advance organizational priorities.
- Proven experience of attracting and building strong, diverse leadership teams aligning large groups of people, and creating a

highly engaged, winning culture.
