**CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER**

Our client is a long-established gender and language diverse family conglomerate, with annual sales in the high eight point figures and 200 employees. Profit centres include resource extraction and manufacturing, heavy equipment operations and management, logistics management, applied IT services and technical resource planning. With several operating companies, the head office is located in an affordable Canadian city.

Reporting to the President and Directors, the Chief Financial Officer manages and directs financial and corporate functions, purchasing and comprehensive human resource and employee benefits programs.

Specifically, the CFO is accountable for:

- Timely financial reporting;
- Review, amalgamation and creation of operating companies;
- Day-to-day liaison with operating company financial and production managers;
- Insurance and financing negotiation with vendors; and,
- Day-to-day liaison with pension benefits carriers

The CFO is a member of the organization’s senior management team, and is expected to function both individually and in team environments. Qualities of the successful incumbent will include:

- A professional accounting designation;
- Integrity of the highest order; and,
- Motivation to continue a flourishing record of superior CFO performance, or, to establish proven CFO acumen in a demanding corporate environment
