**Who we are**:
It is the mission of Tungasuvvingat Inuit (TI) to broadly provide Inuit-specific programs that contribute to the health and wellbeing of Inuit and to encourage and support similar programs for Inuit across the country. With over 30 years of highly successful experience in crafting the design, development and delivery of a wide range of effective, client-centered services, TI continues to deliver quality programs and services that directly benefit our growing urban Inuit population.

**What we are looking for**:
Reporting to the Manager of Kamatsiarniq Initiatives, the Education and Training Coordinator is responsible for the successful implementation of Cultural Sensitivity Training and development, which aims to develop an Inuit-specific curriculum-based program for service providers working with Inuit children, youth, and families. The Education and Training Coordinator will coordinate all workplan activities and ensure project deliverables are achieved. The Education and Training Coordinator is also responsible for the planning, organization, and delivery of various virtual and in-person training initiatives and workshops for Inuit service providers; for foster caregivers and kin caregivers who are caring for Inuit children; and for children’s aid societies and other service providers that deliver services to Inuit children, youth and families in Ontario.

**Responsibilities**:
**Project Management -training development**
- Lead, plan, coordinate and manage all activities related to co-facilitating training sessions.
- Assist in the organization, coordination and execution of consultations, curriculum development sessions and co-facilitate training.
- Assist with travel and transportation arrangements for participants.
- Identify and resolve issues that arise in project delivery and report concerns to the Manager of Kamatsiarniq Initiatives
- Meet all tracking, evaluation, and reporting requirements of funders and TI and prepare and submit various reports as required.
- Adhere to the project budget and work closely with the Manager of Kamatsiarniq Initiatives.
- Arrange for reimbursements and honoraria to be provided to project participants as required.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships and engage with various agencies and stakeholders to strengthen, develop, and promote the project.
- Communicate regularly with Manager, partners, funders, and other stakeholders to keep them update on progress.
- Support the role of Elders and cultural knowledge holders in sharing traditional knowledge within the project.

**Planning, Organization and Delivery of Education and Training Workshops**
- Develop, plan, and coordinate the delivery of the various training and education programs in-person and virtually.
- Oversee the implementation of protocols which maintain activity spaces and ensure the environment is clean and safe.
- Actively promote training to relevant service provider organizations and community members.
- Organize the purchasing, printing and distribution of all materials required for training sessions.
- Develop and implement evaluation processes to gather participant feedback and assess effectiveness of education and training workshops.
- Capture program participant data and meet all tracking, evaluation, and reporting requirements of funder and TI and prepare and submit various reports as required.
- Adhere to project budgets and work closely with the Manager of Kamatsiarniq initiatives and Director, Finance.
- Arrange for reimbursements and honoraria to be provided to guest speakers, Elders, and other third parties as required.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships and engage with various TI programs, partner organizations, Elders and cultural knowledge holders, community members and other stakeholders to develop, deliver and promote training sessions.

**Other Duties**
- Demonstrate behaviors, actions and attitudes that are consistent with TI’s vision, mission, and values.
- Develop and maintain a detailed work plan of activities.
- Meet attendance requirements of the position.
- Work respectfully, positively, professionally, and collaboratively with team members, other staff at TI, and external stakeholders.
- Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and any other relevant legislation.
- Prepare and submit mileage claims, petty cash reconciliations, expense claims and other relevant financial documentation.
- Adhere to TI’s personnel, finance and other policies, procedures, and relevant practices in the performance of duties.
- Other duties as assigned and related to the position.
