We are a full service insurance, investment management, and high-networth wealth manage firm, based out of Vancouver, Canada. In contrast to mass market brokers that focus on high volume and pay little attention to clients and people, we are a small team of extremely experienced and independent financial advisors, and tax and legal advisors with a singular mission: delivering personalized, high quality, and impartial investment, life insurance, tax, and estate planning advice to our primary market: high net worth clients in the Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto GTA metro areas. **JOB DESCRIPTION**

We are looking for an experienced **Business Development Manager (BDM) - 市场开发经理 (Bilingual English Mandarin) with availability starting in April/May 2023.**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES (**MUST READ)**:
As a Business Development Manager (BDM or 市场开发经理), you will be:

- Actively partcipate in community, networking, and other local and online social and networking events to prospective for potential clients and promote the SYFinancial brand and services.
- Plan daily prospecting and follow-up phone calls and meetings with prospective leads
- Using our CRM tool, build and actively manage/update a pipeline of sales leads for insurance and investment clients
- At the start of each week, be prepared with a sales prospecting plan (who you will contact, timeline, etc.)
- Actively support and prospect client leads at company-sponsored events, such as golf tournaments, monthly seminars, networking events and dinners.
- Maintain a flexible schedule (some client-facing events may require weekends) - be able to travel and meet client prospects on short notice.

**KEY QUALIFICATIONS (**MUST READ)**

We are looking for the following skills and qualifications as a business development manager (BDM):

- **Required: minimum 5+ years of sales or business development experience, ideally in a financial services setting**:

- Because we are a small team focused on a small number of high net worth clients, the ability to **work independently without supervision is critical**:

- Bilingual: _**excellent verbal and written skills in both English and Chinese Mandarin **_(due to requirements by our clients who are not fluent in English), especially experience dealing with **phone, Zoom, and in-person meetings** that **require excellent verbal communication skills in sales settings**:

- Possess an active driver license

**Salary**: From $35,000.00 per year
