CLAC Apprenticeship Team, Alberta is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of an Apprenticeship Coordinator. This is a 14-month contract, full-time position located in the Edmonton Member Centre.

**Job Summary**:
Working with a nationally coordinated team, and reporting to the Projects & Program Manager, you will lead the provincial implementation, strategic development and operations of the CLAC Apprenticeship Support Program (“CASP”), a new, member and signatory employer support program.

CASP provides nationally aligned wraparound supports and administrative services in the following areas of the apprenticeship pathway:

- Recruitment
- Onboarding
- Registration
- Retention
- Completion

Under the direction of senior leadership and the Apprenticeship Support Program Manager (CASP), you will be instrumental in the local implementation and success of the 2-year ESDC-Intermediary funding project. This includes administering all best practices, policies, procedures, activities and services essential to the successful execution of the project.

You will initiate, coordinate and complete all provincial member-apprentice services related to CASP, ensuring that they are effectively utilized to support the development of the CLAC workforce, and that they are consistent with the strategic objectives of CLAC and the CASP National Mandate.

Additionally, you will be responsible to support the operational success of CASP, nationally, by following all policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure high quality service, while meeting sector apprenticeship engagement requirements (member, signatory, community). Maintaining member apprenticeship records/profiles, database and apprenticeship tracking services is a key function of the role.

You will actively participate in the workforce planning activities as it relates to CASP, including:

- Maintaining a visible image of CLAC as a workforce development partner
- Developing programs and community engagement initiatives to promote the success of CASP, including recognizing the diverse range of needs of the adult job seeker, apprentice and equity-deserving groups
- Maintaining a high level of organizational expertise and knowledge on issues and opportunities related to the field of skilled trades, such as:

- Apprentice recruitment, retention and completion
- Equity, diversity and inclusion
- Community, industry, member and employer engagement
- Red Seal/provincial apprenticeship systems

This is an exciting position for a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Apprenticeship Coordinator. The incumbent will have strong interpersonal skills, can work independently and as part of aremote team, and can develop and mentor cross-functional teams within the province to develop CLAC’s skilled-trades workforce through CASP.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The essential administrative duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Coordinating and conducting pre-assessment interviews, apprenticeship onboarding and apprentice engagement connects/support.
- Execute database entries, searches and data analysis, produce cohesive reports and correspond with internal staff, external contacts (employers, ministry/regulators, trade schools and community agencies) and apprentices in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct apprenticeship recruitment and retention initiatives and promoting CLAC Apprenticeship group/3rd party sponsorship services to CLAC signatory employers
- Receive, process and manage ministry apprenticeship registered training agreements
- Participate in industry and community events and job fairs
- Develop and maintain relationships with signatory employers, community agencies and CLAC staff
- Market CLAC’s apprenticeship services and products to members, signatory companies and the general public
- Additional duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Ability to work independently within a national service team framework
- Familiarity with the provincial apprenticeship system, particularly with construction trades, is an asset
- Minimum 2 years proven experience in apprenticeship administration is an asset.
- Education: high-school or equivalent. CHRP or related industry certification is an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with database entry, scanning and document management
- Strong organizational skills and time management
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated accuracy and strong attention to detail
