With the freedom and flexibility of working outdoors, our high energy Shipping Department has an opportunity for a person to Supervise the Team in Shipping while they pull and prepare plant orders for our valued customers. Along with overseeing, and at busy times assisting with, accurate order pulling, tagging, labeling, quality control and packing of plants the Inline Nurseries Shipping Coordinator works directly with Logistics as well as frequent communication with the Sales Team. As this is the final stage of our product the Shipping Coordinator takes great pride in their work to ensure top quality product leaves Inline Nurseries and all daily tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner. This position seeks accomplishment-driven individuals who lead by example and appreciate being physically active in a wide range of natural elements while increasing your love and knowledge of plants

**What we expect**:

- Supervise the tasks of the Shipping Department team to ensure quality guidelines are met
- Work closely with the Logistics to plan work lists and priorities
- Clear and concise communication skills across departments
- Review employees’ work to evaluate quality, quantity and timeliness based on established standards
- Ensure timely quality control/counts and maintain accurate paperwork for the shipping process
- Adhere to and promote a safe and respectful workplace as per the policies in place at Inline Nurseries.
- Reliable, adaptable and resilient
- Hands on work/leadership with a professional and team-centered positive attitude
- Work as a team as well as independently
- Fast paced person in a fast-paced environment

- Operate farm machinery (tractors, forklifts, and other equipment)
- Able to lift 50lbs (22.7kg) with extended walking/standing, bending, reaching and squatting
- Sense of humour During the intensity of the season we still maintain a fun, team atmosphere
- Willing to work in all weather conditions

**Working Conditions/Schedule**:

- A regular Monday-Friday schedule with occasional Saturdays and evenings on short notice during the peak season
- Regular season working hours are 7:30am - 4:00pm
- Seasonal exposure to weather including hot, cold, windy and/or wet
- During extreme weather events of summer, such as heat or smoke, hours are reduced and or earlier start times are implemented to protect employees from these harsh elements.
- Longer hours to be expected during peak season (March-May)
- Opportunities for advancement within the company

**Languages**:

- English (required)
- Spanish (Asset)

**Education/Experience**:

- Post-secondary horticultural education or experience in a horticultural, nursery, or greenhouse environment (Minimum two years)
- Experienced supervisorial skills (Minimum two years)
- High school or equivalent (required)
- IPM knowledge (Asset)
- Knowledge of inventory management and procedures

**Licenses/Certifications**:

- Class 5 Drivers License (required)
- First Aid Level 1 (preferred) and a willingness to obtain Level 2 if necessary
