Facilities Maintenance Technician

Reporting to the Facilities manager, the facilities maintenance technician is responsible for the physical maintenance of the building, facilities, and grounds.
- RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining grounds, lawns, gardens, parking lots
- Manual yard work, knowledge of string trimmer operation and maintenance
- Perform various tasks to building facilities, painting, moving equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Small improvements and equipment installation.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED):
- Actively enrolled post secondary education program
- Good mechanical skills and willing to learn
- Demonstrate autonomy and initiative.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Safe worker and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies.
QUALIFICATIONS (ASSETS):
- Experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing, and food manufacturing.
- Certifications in the following: fork truck, working at height, PEWP / MEWP, rigging and hoisting, confined space.
