Clinical Receptionist Assistant, RHeumatology Clinic

The Rheumatology Clinic at St. Joseph's Hospital specializes in the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions that commonly affect the body's musculoskeletal system and other body systems including major organs, skin, nerves and blood vessels. The goals of this multi team are to reduce/prevent pain, disability, joint damage and to teach patients skills that will help them live active lives.
The Rheumatology Clinic requires a skilled Clinical Receptionist Assistant to work closely with the team to support the everyday operations of the clinic. The role of the Clinical Receptionist Assistant is to enable patient flow and ensure continued quality for the clinic by registering and rooming patients; ensuring exam rooms and areas are stocked with necessary equipment and providing other administrative support to the team. The Rheumatology CRA is also responsible for entering clinical information like heights and weights on the patient file and reports any pertinent findings to the team as necessary.
**Essential Qualifications**
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or recognized equivalent by the Province of Ontario
- Graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant certificate program
- Demonstrated computer experience with a basic level of knowledge in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, along with experience with Outlook
- Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
- Previous computer experience with order entry and data entry
- Accurate keyboarding and spelling skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment
- Good judgment and decision-making skills to ensure all necessary information is collected as per individual circumstances
- Strong customer service focus and the ability to work in team setting as well as independently
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Proficiency in French would be an asset
- Previous experience in an ambulatory clinic setting
- Knowledge of various rheumatologic conditions
- Previous experience with Cerner and PowerChart

**Immunization Requirements**
- Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and a written commitment to follow any future Public Health recommendations and St. Joseph's Health Care London policies and processes related to Covid management in the workplace.
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
