Clinical Receptionist Assistant, Endoscopy Unit

The Clinical Receptionist Assistant in the Endoscopy Unit will work closely with the healthcare team to support the clinical operations of the department. The Clinical Receptionist Assistant enables improved patient flow and ensures safe, quality patient care delivery.
**Essential Qualifications**
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or recognized equivalent in Ontario
- Successful completion of a Medical Office Assistant certificate program
- Minimum 2 years related experience in a health care environment
- Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
- Demonstrated basic computer skills with Outlook and Microsoft Word and Excel
- Superior interpersonal skills with a strong patient/customer focus as well as a positive and professional attitude
- Excellent organizational skills to establish and balance competing priorities in a challenging and diverse environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and a pleasant telephone manner
- Previous experience with healthcare clinical systems with high level of data accuracy
- Previous experience with computerized electronic health record
- Cerner clinical care, Cerner registration and scheduling system
- Previous experience with inventory and office supply management utilizing various on-line ordering systems
- Good judgment and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve effectively
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work both independently and as an effective team member in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability and ability to manage change in a dynamic environment
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Proficiency in French would be an asset
- Previous experience in an Ambulatory clinic setting
- Experience in working in an Endoscopy Unit, Operating Room, Urgent Care or Emergency Care setting

**Immunization Requirements**
- Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and a written commitment to follow any future Public Health recommendations and St. Joseph's Health Care London policies and processes related to Covid management in the workplace.
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
