**Operations Coordinator - Modified Schedule**
**Location**: Sherwood Park, Alberta
Canadian Hydrovac, a Division of Mullen Trucking Corp. has an immediate opening for an experienced Operations Coordinator with a background in Administration to join our team. Full-time position, benefits and competitive wages.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Operations Coordinator will ensure the business runs efficiently and support all areas of operations at site level. This position is a key role in supporting the success of the day-to-day operation, attention to detail and strong organizational skills is a must in this position.
We specialize in serving the oil, gas, construction and utility industry in Alberta. Our small but specialized team of operators are all highly trained professionals with an emphasis on safety. We take pride in our service, which is second to none in the industry. Our core values of “Safety, Efficiency and Quality” dictate every facet of our business, from our operators to our customer service and office staff.
**Primary Responsibilities**
- Answer high volume calls/book jobs; prioritize calls according to urgency and importance, receive booking and prepare dispatch for Hydrovac services; receive and dispatch orders for Hydrovac Services; maintain client contact
- Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize incoming job requests
- Date entry with details of job, maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information
- Track employee’s performance and attendance (no shows/late); coordinate time off requests
**General HR & Administration**
- H.R.: working in partnership with Human Resources, facilitate onboarding of new employees,
- Safety: Assist with scheduling courses, certification & recertification for site specific orientations, track and distribute PPE; distribute and record consumables as required
- General Office duties
**Necessary Skills and Competencies**:
- Professional, tenacious, organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, work with a diverse group of internal and external customers
- High degree of integrity including ability to successfully deal with sensitive or confidential information with customers and company personnel at all levels
- Self-motivated and personable with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under mínimal supervision
- Willing to take on a number of tasks to assist with daily operations
- Tech-savvy with knowledge of relevant tracking methods
- Excellent typing skills with experience in data entry and accounting basics
- Knowledge of procedures and guidelines for emergency situations
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
- Knowledge of oil field, construction or related industry an asset
- Sound judgement and critical thinking
- Experience in a similar role would be considered an asset but not a requirement
