- In this varied role, you will provide executive level confidential and operational administrative support to the Deputy CAO; research, prioritize and follow up on issues and concerns addressed to the Deputy CAO’s office, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature, and determine the appropriate course of action; support the drafting and execution of confidential reports that may impact local policy decisions; research and prepare briefing notes on internal and external matters (or for meetings) to support the CAO and DCAO; prepare documents, presentations and speeches; and act for the Assistant to the CAO.**Requirements**:

- This position requires an individual with a high degree of integrity, diplomacy and discretion in managing confidential and sensitive documents and information. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and strong interpersonal skills are required. You must have the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Exceptional attention to detail, flexibility and an enthusiastic attitude are essential.- You will have post-secondary education in public administration, business administration, communications, political science or relevant discipline and experience working in a confidential executive administrative position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in a local government environment would be an asset. The demonstrated ability to organise, prioritise and coordinate a variety of tasks and assignments is also required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, together with a working knowledge of an electronic Records Management System would be beneficial.**Compensation**
- We offer an attractive remuneration and benefits package for this exempt position, including a compressed work schedule. The salary range is $69,132 to $81,336 (2024 rates).**Hours of Work**
