**Program Coordinator, Indigenous Law Centre (ILC)**:
**Primary Purpose**: The primary goal of the position is to cultivate and coordinate certificate and programming that will focus on Indigenous Law that will enhance knowledge and requirements for our Indigenous students and community.
**Nature of Work**: Reporting operationally to the Finance and Administration Manager, the coordinator will identify and coordinate ILC certificate programs as well as other programming. The incumbent will establish and maintain professional relationships with various constituents such as students, faculty, staff, and the external community, both provincially, nationally and internationally. The position requires the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while balancing competing deadlines and multiple tasks. The coordinator will work independently and collaboratively with the ILC members as well as the leadership team for the College. Some travel may be required, and it is expected that some irregular hours will be required to carry out specific assignments.
**Typical Duties or Accountabilities**:
- Prepare an environmental scan of Indigenous Law certificates and other programming across Canada.
- Work closely with the ILC Academic Director to develop a strategic plan for Indigenous Law certificate programs as well as other programming opportunities.
- Work closely with the College on Land Base learning objectives.
- Work closely with the ILC Academic Director and Law faculty to prepare documentation and to manage the processes for USask approval of programming.
- Cultivate partnerships with the Indigenous community and legal community, provincially, nationally, and internationally.
- Research, prepare, write, and maintain funding agreements that will support programs.
- Manage ILC certificate and programs programming including financial budgets, resources, credit, admissions, etc.
- Plan, develop and create policies and processes for managing the programs.
- Create reports as required.
- Other initiatives as assigned/required.
**Education**:An undergraduate degree with a Law degree preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
**Experience**: A minimum of (5) years of experience coordinating certificate programs or programming within an educational environment. Experience managing processes to gain course and certificate approval is highly desired.
