**Assistant Produce Manager**
Big Red Markets is a family-owned butcher shop and delicatessen that has been serving the Niagara region since 1985. We take pride in having the highest quality meats and produce available in the region.
With customer service at our fore-front, we are looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and hard-working individuals who will enjoy giving our customers the best shopping experience.
Overview
The Assistant Produce Manager is responsible for performing a variety of duties aimed at delivering exceptional customer service, nurturing customer loyalty and relations, while contributing to a positive working environment. Professionalism, team work, promptness and attention to detail are key attributes needed to fulfill the responsibilities of an Assistant Produce Manager.
- Follow all Food Safety Protocols, Health and Safety training, and workplace policies
- Receive daily produce orders
- Ensure Quality standards meet companies' expectations
- Inventory Management
- Using scales and volume measurements to portion and price products
- Stock, restock and reface product cases/displays
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
- Engage with customers to actively promote products and sales
- Other duties as required
Job Requirements
- Able to work days and one weekend day, No evening shifts.
- Physically capable to lift up to 40lbs and able to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
