**Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing high-quality care to animals. Your responsibilities will include assisting with examinations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring the comfort of our animal patients. **Duties**
- Assist veterinarians/Technicians during examinations and procedures by holding animals and providing necessary tools.
- Must be able to make accurate notes and record in charts during Hospital exams.
- Clean and sanitize examination rooms, surgical areas, and equipment to ensure a safe environment for patients.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' health and care instructions.
- Monitor animal behavior and health during visits, reporting any concerns to the veterinarian promptly.
- Assist in the management of inventory, including ordering supplies and ensuring that all materials are stocked appropriately.
- Computer skills.
**Skills**
- Strong understanding of animal behavior and basic veterinary practices.
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners and team members effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Compassionate attitude towards animals with a commitment to their welfare.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
