**Job brief**

Clinic Psychology Manitoba is hiring for an administrative assistant/intake coordinator to contribute to the clinic’s daily operations. You will support day-to-day operations by performing administrative tasks and ensuring high quality customer service for our patients.

As an administrative assistant/intake coordinator, you will perform various tasks on a daily basis in support of the clinics operation. You will be required to handle sensitive information confidentially.

Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our medical facility’s smooth operation by accurately completing administrative tasks in a timely manner.

**Responsibilities**:

- Interview patients for case histories prior to appointments
- Update and maintain patients’ health records
- Assist patients with initial paperwork
- Schedule and coordinate appointments
- Process insurance claims in compliance with law requirements
- Use EMR software to support all transactions
- Manage receivable and payable accounts and maintain financial records
- Answer patients’ queries and ensure quality customer service
- Collaborate with psychologists and clinical associates to help with patient intake and scheduling, schedule appointments and order supplies
- Ensure compliance with procedures
- Keep up-to-date with changes in insurance legislation

**Requirements**:

- Proven work experience as a clinical administrative assistant/intake coordinator
- Hands on experience with clinic software and MS Office
- Knowledge of clinic operation
- Familiarity with insurance legislation
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Customer-oriented communication skills
- High school diploma; certification in medical administration is a plus
- Previous experience working in an office or similar healthcare setting is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping

We, at Clinic Psychology Manitoba are a group of psychologists in Winnipeg, dedicated to work with clients in improving their mental health. We specialize in evidence-based treatment strategies that primarily include cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based approaches.

CBT addresses the entire aspect of human experience including a person’s feelings, thoughts and cognitions, and their related behaviours and actions. It helps us challenge negative thinking patterns, that allows us to change behaviours, which ultimately improves our feelings, experiences and emotions. CBT is a scientifically validated treatment, with over 40 years of dedicated research and practice.In the same way that we pay attention to our physical health, we must also prioritize our mental health.

This is posting is for maternity leave coverage and has the potential to become permanent.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $16.50-$20.00 per hour
