**Role Summary**:
This Junior Accounting Clerk role carries out various accounting functions and provides support to the Project Accounting Team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Collecting and sorting invoices, Statutory Declarations and WCB Clearance Letters;
- Obtaining invoice approvals and working with Accounts Payable in getting payment ready in a timely manner;
- Preparing invoice summary coversheets for vendors and projects;
- Review and reconcile invoices against commitments and contracts, purchase orders, change orders and review expense reports;
- Liaising with vendors to correct billing errors and following up on outstanding documents;
- Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining financial databases;
- Assisting the Project Accounting team with any ad-hoc tasks.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree or certificate in accounting;
- Experience with Sage 300 Construction is an asset;
- Current enrolment or intention to enrol in the CPA program is preferred;
- Good communications skills, both verbal and written;
- Good organizational and time management skills;
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Ability to work with confidential material and maintain high standards of ethical conduct.
