We are looking for a **_Associate Manager, Market Insights_**
Reporting to the Manager, Market Insights, the Associate Manager will contribute to and have direct oversight of day-to-day market insights and competitive intelligence research activities that support core insurance and wealth activities and influence decision making within Individual Customer and Advisory Network.
**What you will do**:
- **
Market monitoring & reporting**: own and deliver regular insights newsletters and reports, with commentary and analysis, outlining relevant market trends, company positioning, and competitor changes
- **
Core business support**: oversight and accountability to deliver market insights/competitive intelligence and analysis to support on-going product management, pricing and related marketing and sales enablement activities
- **
Insight repository management**: responsible for maintaining and organizing existing information systems, while ensuring all materials are up-to-date and readily available for business consumption, as well as developing new intelligence databases that enable new value-added insights
- **
Team leadership**: provide direction, coaching and mentorship to market insight analysts that support their growth and strengthen insights available to the business
- **
Non-core business support**: may be required to execute larger research studies to support strategic initiatives
**What you will bring**
- Bachelor’s degree with at least six (6) years of relevant research, analysis and insights experience, coupled with at least two (2) years of people management
- Knowledge of individual insurance and wealth products, along with strong business acumen
- Strong research, contextualizing, analytical and storytelling skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Resourceful, highly organized and can effectively manage and adapt to changing business needs
- Understanding of competitive intelligence techniques an asset
- Experience with competitor pricing software and intelligence tools an asset
