**Position: Bookkeeper**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Location**: Markham

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the bookkeeping of entities
- Perform data entry and reconciliation of banks statements, credit card statements and A/P invoices
- Reconcile the customer invoicing, and A/R reports and update status to the management
- Timely payment of local and overseas vendors
- File companies GST/HST tax returns monthly and quarterly
- Issue cheques and handle reimbursement
- Review journal entries and monthly general ledger reconciliations
- Assist in month-end closing
- Develop department processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with other departments
- Assist with, or lead, ad-hoc requests and projects as needed

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or above in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 2-3 years in bookkeeper role
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong accuracy, attention to detail, investigative, and analytical skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize workflows and meet deadlines
- High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and QuickBooks; ERP experience is a plus
