This role contributes to the Career Exploration & Education unit.

Mission:The mission of Career Exploration and Education (CxED) at the University of Toronto St. George campus is to engage students to develop self-directed career management skills through partnership with (a) faculty, to connect academic and career learning; (b) alumni and employers, to develop informational and experiential networks and opportunities; and (c) our campus community, to embed career support locally to meet diverse student needs.

**Your opportunity**:
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Employer Recruitment & Engagement, supervised by the Lead Coordinator, Career Exploration & Workplace Learning, and working with other members of Career Exploration & Education, the Career Exploration Coordinator will be responsible for developing and delivering career exploration programs, events, and resources for undergraduate, professional andgraduate students and recent alumni that introduce diverse career paths and leverage anti-oppressive, hope-centred, experiential and self-directed approaches to learning and reflection.

The incumbent will focus on scaling career exploration andworkplace learning programs, designing programming at the intersection of career, identity, and wellbeing, and ensuring students involved in career exploration programs have appropriate learning experiences for pre-opportunity goal setting and post-opportunity reflection and learning integration. The Career Exploration Coordinator will attend to the unique and intersecting career needs of Indigenous and equity-deserving student communities, including but not limited to Black, racialized, 2SLGBTQ+ students and students with disabilities.

Opportunities for student and alumni career exploration and workplace learning include, but are not limited to, activities to prepare for experiential learning opportunities, job shadowing, informational interviews, field visits, alumni career panels, career conferences and networking experiences with diverse career professionals across industries. As part of a collaborative team effort and in line with the unit’s strategic priorities, the Career Exploration Coordinator will ensure these career exploration and workplace learning programs, services, partnerships and resources facilitate student and alumni career learning to develop greater clarity around values, interests, identities, workplace needs and experiences that positively influence career direction, success, and wellbeing. Alongside the team, the Coordinator will explore student needs and interests, identity opportunities for career exploration activity and for potential partners, monitor program progress, and assess learning outcomes.
