Cleaning and Maintenance

As a seasonal Cottage Care Associate with Kacaba Cottage Care you will be responsible for working alongside a Cottage Care Specialist to provide interior and exterior cleaning services as we work to make cottage life simpler for our clients.
While each cottage is unique you will be required to complete tasks as assigned by your supervisor. A typical day will include most of the following tasks:
- Washing sinks, toilets, and furniture
- Sweeping, mopping and steam cleaning floors
- Vacuuming carpets, rugs, upholstery, and furniture
- Dusting furniture and ledges
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchens and bathrooms
- Polishing windows, mirrors and finishing
- Making beds
- Folding clean laundry
- Light yard maintenance
- Other responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor
The right applicant will:
- Be able to complete cleaning duties on multi-level cottages and traverse diverse cottage terrains with supplies and equipment
- Be punctual, reliable and trustworthy
- Have the ability to manage time effectively
- Be able to complete tasks alone and as part of a team
- Receive constructive criticism well and adapt to the job at hand
- Be able to read and follow instructions
- Have an awareness of health and safety procedures
The positions are mostly seasonal with work expected to start in the next couple of weeks run until the end of cottage season. Although, we are willing to adjust start and end dates for students as needed.
Starting pay will be discussed based on experience and a probationary training period.
Applicants will have to submit a current police check before they enter the field.

Pay: $18.50-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 - 30 per week
