Reporting to the Sawmill Manager, the Employee will be primarily responsible for sorting and stacking lumber as is goes through the mill, or operating the debarking process as well as helping ready lumber for shipping.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sorting and stacking lumber as it goes through the mill
- Ensuring lumber is stacked based on grades assigned by the Grader
- Always keep a clean and safe workspace
- Performs all tasks in accordance with established safe work practices and standards, operating procedures, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in a sawmill environment would be considered an asset
- Ability to work in a physical product type environment
- Enjoys working outdoors
- Ability to embrace hands on solutions to complex challenges
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Flexibility to work overtime as required
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
COMPENSATION, BENEFITS:
- Starting wage is $20.00/hr
- Permanent full time
- 4 day work week, (10 hour days) Monday - Thursday, dayshift
- 2 weeks of paid vacation
