**Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Overseeing event registration sales activity through inbound and outbound calling
- Leading and overseeing all outbound and inbound telesales campaigns from planning through execution to reach targeted results
- Building and maintaining relationships with key clients to increase group registration sales and to develop repeat business
- Generate increased group registration/delegation sales and expand repeat business by building a network of key client relationships
- Targeting list development and management, scheduling of telesales staff time, setting goals, hiring, training and coaching
- Selling event registrations
- Strategically developing the team and telesales efforts
- Maintaining internal events database as it relates to sales details, with precise data entry
- Managing events sales telesales representatives' budgets and results
- Working with the Conference Producers, Marketing and Event Logistics to assist with the plan and flow of the program
- Assisting onsite at select events, facilitating registering attendees onsite and meeting clients

**Skills & qualifications**:

- Post-Secondary in Marketing or Communications
- 2 to 5 years of sales experience
- 1-3 years of management experience
- Must be extremely organized
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Inclined to take ownership of a project and follow through to completion
- Professional, enthusiastic, dependable and flexible
- Able to handle multiple priorities
- Able to work to deadlines
- Flexible and comfortable working in a team atmosphere
- Experience in managing an outbound telesales team; including hiring, training and coaching sales reps
- Excellent personal selling skills
- Excellent leadership skills to motivate and influence team to meet goals with the highest standards of performance
- Media / Publishing / Advertising industry experience an asset but not required
