**About Us**:
Environment and Protected Areas support Albertans in being proud stewards of air, land, water, and biodiversity by leading the work required to support environmental outcomes, outdoor recreation and sustainable development of natural resources.

**Role**:
Reporting to the Director of Operation Transformation, the Program Transformation Officer is responsible for leading and/or coordinating complex policy and program files across the department and managing a suite of internal and external ministry stakeholders and partners.

Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Support change management needs of cross-divisional projects Design and facilitate internal and external engagement to achieve meaningful results.
- Policy develop and implementation.
- Develop decision making materials for senior leaders to determine appropriate responses and/or to address issues; and support project committees by developing meeting materials such as terms of reference, RACI charts, governance models, decision matrix, and accountability frameworks.
- Excellent organizational management skills to balance multiple demands and timelines.

**Qualifications**:
University degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Business Administration or re plus 4 years of experience in project and issues management. Equivalency will be considered.

**Required**
- Anticipate future issues and impact on multiple Ministry mandates/strategies/ commitments.
- Build productive relationships within and across Ministries, GoA and other stakeholders.
- Analyze complex issues and synthesize findings into recommendations.
- Relevant information systems and business productivity tools (e.g. Microsoft Office).
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders in a politically complex environment.
- Facilitation skills to meaningfully engage internal and external stakeholders and ensure effective feedback loops and ongoing relationships.
- Experience with best practices in engagement and system integration including research, jurisdictional scanning, and analysis.

- Superior communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), including the ability to convey ideas and listen to others and develop ‘win-win’ options that address all interests as effectively as possible.
- Understanding the political environment that will impact policy making.
- Familiar with concepts and principles of change management, system design, and system transformation.

**Salary**:
$2,716.64 - $3,550.90 Biweekly ($70,904 - $92,678/year)

**Notes**:
This position is a full-time permanent opportunity and is located in Edmonton.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week.
