As a Tax and Utility Claims Handler you will be responsible for processing tax and utility claims with a high level of customer service whether a claim is approved or denied. Attention to detail is required when calculating amounts owing by a vendor. You will also be expected to engage with other departments within FCT to answer questions and share knowledge as the need arises. This role will also require you to engage with our internal and external recovery representatives where applicable. Customer Experience will be the first priority in this role, you will be the only individual in this role and will work independently for the most part, however, you will be part of a great team that can provide support when needed/required.
HERE’S HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:
- Promptly review claims for coverage and preparation of correspondence with respect to coverage options
- Correspond and communicate with customers with the highest level of customer service regarding decisions and requesting any additional information that may be required
- Communicate denied claims with various product groups
- Engage with municipalities and utility companies to confirm outstanding accounts, where required
- Involvement in special projects as required
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- The ability to handle tax and utility arrears claim files and deliver a superior customer service experience even in circumstances that may be adverse.
- Positive attitude and good team spirit evidenced through comfort in developing relationships with people throughout the company
- Excellent ability to plan priorities and are highly organized
- Ability to review documents and re-calculate adjustments made in a real estate transaction
- Prior Customer Service experience with references is required
