Pedagogical Counsellor

**Job Description**:
CÉGEP Champlain-St. Lawrence is seeking the services of a PEDAGOGICAL COUNSELLOR, to work on a temporary, full-time position This contract will end on June 28, 2025 with a possibility of extension.
Reporting to the Director of the Constituent College and the Coordinator of Pedagogical and Institutional Development, the incumbent provides specialized support to the management and administration teams, as well as faculty in areas connected to institutional development such as: governance and general secretariat, quality assurance and monitoring of strategic indicators, research, EDI practices, indigenous student matters and sustainability.

Main responsibilities:
Provide governance and secretariat general support
- Ensure the conformity of Governing Board and Commission of Studies’ practices to bylaws and policies.
- Ensure the organization, preparation and distribution of agendas and supporting documentation to the Governing Board and the Commission of Studies;
- Produce and maintain the official minutes of meetings of the Governing Board and Commission of Studies according to regulations;
- Provide Governing Board and Commission of Studies members, students, staff and external community with information and documentation;
- Provide support to the chair of the Governing Board.

Provide quality assurance and monitoring of strategic support
- Monitor, analyse and report on the college strategic indicators;
- Contribute to the development of institutional dashboards;
- Support the management team in various accountability processes;
- Institutional policies implementation and evaluation;
- Participate in the implementation, evaluation and revision of bylaws and policies.

Provide support in research
- Assist faculty in writing articles presenting their research work;
- Coordinate the promotion of research and research diffusion activities in the college;
- Support the institution in developing responsible practices in research data management
- Promote the various grant opportunities available to the Cegep community.

Provide support regarding EDI practices, natives students matters and sustainability
- Monitor trends, best practices and development opportunities regarding EDI practices and keep faculty, non-teaching staff and management team informed;
- Coordinate the promotion in the College of activities related to those sectors;
- Support the growth and development of the College in those sectors.
- Participate to committees as requested;
- Contribute to grant requests.

**Requirements**:

- Education- Graduate degree in an appropriate area of specialization.

**Requirements**:
- Good knowledge of the collegial network;
- Excellent attention to details and rigor;
- Proficiency in both English and French, spoken and written;
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
- Experience with research grant request processes;
- Tactful communication skills;
- Good organizational skills;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.);

**Duration of contract**: This contract will end on June 28, 2025 with a possibility of extension

**Salary Scale**: 50 150$ - 92 027$
