JOB SUMMARY: REPORTING TO THE BUSINESS OUTREACH MANAGER, THE PROGRAM COORDINATOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR TWO MAIN PORTFOLIOS:
1. MARKETING AND PROMOTION OF CONTINUING EDUCATION TRAINING
2. BUSINESS CASE ANALYSIS AND DEPLOYMENT OF POTENTIAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES, INCLUDING RECOGNITION OF AQUIRED COMPETENCIES (RAC) IN INDUSTRY

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

In collaboration with the Business Outreach Manager:

• Develop, coordinate and deploy Marketing and promotional initiatives, leveraging the College's Communication Department.

• Use analytical tools to measure the responsiveness of the Marketing strategies; recommend improvements.

• Build strong relationships with private and public partners to obtain insight into training needs.

• Research new trends in labor market training opportunities, including RAC in industry.

• Carry out a detailed business case analysis of such new training opportunities.

• Recommend, based on the business case analysis, future opportunities to the Director of Continuing Education, with a focus on labor market needs, increased student enrollment and revenue growth.

• Spearhead, in collaboration with the Continuing Education RAC team, the development and deployment of industry specific RAC initiatives, such as in Pharmacy Technology and IT.

• Function as RAC advisor for selected, industry specific RAC projects


• Recruit, hire and onboard qualified instructors and RAC content specialists.

• Act as a resource person for adult learners and industry taking part in the various training options.

• Research public financial initiatives for Business and Professional Development projects, apply for such funding and oversee
the application.

• Ensure the establishment of a budget for each training initiative. Monitor budgets on an ongoing basis. Analyze deviations
and ensure that costs stay within estimates.

• Keep informed of current, trending and new learning & development methods and best practices.

• Participate in the Continuing Education team, briefing the Director regularly and providing input to other conseillers and
conseillères pédagogiques, as required.

• Perform other relevant tasks related to the Continuing Educations sector, as may be requested by the Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:

Undergraduate degree in an appropriate field of specialization, such as education or commerce.

Specific Requirements:

• Minimum of (5) years directly related experience, preferably in the Adult Education and Business Services Training sector,
and/or liaison with the business sector.

• Profound understanding of the needs of adult learners of diverse backgrounds, particularly adult learners training for the
labor market.

• Two (2) to 5 (five) years of Marketing and promotion experience in the educational sector, including the development of a
customized marketing plan, identifying target audiences, setting analytical goals.

• Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience in Recognition of Acquired Learning (RAC).

• Experience in Business Case analysis.

• Track record in program management with the ability to oversee multiple projects.

• Two (2) to five (5) years' experience as an instructor, corporate training specialist, or related position an asset

• Business experience and knowledge of newly emerging sectors of the industry, particularly in IT, Environment or
Pharmaceutical industry, an asset

• Resourcefulness and strong interest to monitor industry trends through a variety of tools.

• Track record of networking and engaging with industry and public stakeholders.

• Excellent information technology knowledge.

• Excellent organizational, human relations (problem resolution, advising, mediation) and communications skills.

• Ability to leverage teams and to be a contributing member to a variety of teams.

• Ability work under time pressure and work fully self-directed.

• Evening and weekend work may be occasionally required.

• English (intermediate oral, comprehension and written).

• French (advanced oral, advanced written comprehension, intermediate written).

• Excel (Intermediate).
