About Us Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services (AAMHCS) is an accredited community
- based health agency with a proud 30-year history. It aims to provide services and address system inequities to improve health outcomes for the most vulnerable immigrants, refugees, and their communities.

Access Alliance is a member of the Mid-West Toronto Ontario Health Team (OHT), and the lead agency for an exciting health initiative to develop and implement services of the new health related access and information centre in designated high priority neighbourhoods - currently the Stockyards,
Kensington/Chinatown, south Parkdale and Waterfront. The centre will increase access to health services for designated populations. It will provide convenient on site services related to COVID 19
(testing, vaccines, and antivirals), screening for preventative care and navigation/referrals to primary care, mental health and addiction services as well as needed community support services.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in collaboration with a staff team that also includes nurses,What will you community peer workers and a project manager; to p lan, implement and evaluate new community do engagement programs/initiatives in accordance with the goals of this project. The CHP is a core member of the team and will develop and maintain key relationships with partner agencies already involved as well as organizations that may increase the support provided.

The CHP will also work to enhance the designated health priorities and collaboratively build strategies to increase access and provide information to achieve better health for systemically vulnerable people and communities.

If you are a dynamic individual who can manage details and think outside the box and/ or you are a fast
- Graduate degree in Health Sciences, Social Work, Immigration and Settlement Services or a combination of relevant education and work experience.
- Minimum 3 years front-line experience in community engagement based program planning, implementation and evaluation, and event design.
- Thorough understanding of community engagement and community development principles.
- Experience working with low-income seniors, newcomers and individuals with mental health and addiction challenges.
- Demonstrated experience working with multi-racial, multi-lingual communities and teams.
- Thorough understanding of anti-oppression and social determinants of health frameworks.
- Thorough knowledge of and commitment to the principles of community engagement.
- Success in partnership development and writing funding proposals.
- Ability to influence and/or motivate others with strong sense of diplomacy and sound judgement.
- Experience in program budget development and monitoring.
- Ability to think in creative, innovative ways, see 'outside the box’.
- Demonstrated group facilitation and leadership skills.
- Experience in promotion and publicity; ability to design, write and produce promotional/informational materials.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with colleagues and community members and demonstrated communication skills with diverse populations - both written and oral.
- Proven research, proposal and report writing skills.
- Well-developed analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to function well in a team setting.
- Proficiency with available computer technology, spreadsheet, database, publishing and word processing software. Knowledge and experiencing developing Access Databases is an asset.
- Ability to speak a second language is an asset.

**Salary**: $62,090 - $74,888 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Full-time till the end of March 31, 2023 w/possibility of extension
