**Business Development, Sales Manager (REMOTE) - Eastern Canada & US**

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the **Toronto-based Business Development, Sales Manager** is a key member of Tourism Kelowna's team, representing the organization within the Eastern Canadian and US business events' markets, identifying new markets and business opportunities, and increasing sales and overall economic impact for Kelowna and its surrounding area. Developing leads, securing requests for proposals (RFPs), and generating room nights by booking business events for Kelowna and area will be measurements of success in this role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work remotely from the Greater Toronto Area to prospect, secure, and close new meetings and conferences business for Kelowna and area.
- Represent Tourism Kelowna at tradeshows and sales events in Eastern Canada and US.
- Establish and maintain strong, collaborative, and mutually beneficial relationships between Tourism Kelowna and its members, industry partners, and clients.
- Leverage destination attributes to encourage extended stays pre
- and post-event.
- Assist in planning and hosting buyer familiarization tours when applicable.
- Meet or exceed annual sales objectives as established by Tourism Kelowna's President & CEO.
- Work with the team to manage and execute the OKGo campaign.
- Identify existing groups with growth potential and assist in their development.
- Ensure account management and data entry practices are completed to the organization's standards, ensuring optimum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Other duties as assigned.
