**Full job description**

**THE POSITION**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Calling for Locates
- Creating and managing locate packages
- Calling in any issues (like Stop Orders) and resolving said issues
- Identifying utilities and implementing strategies to clear any conflicts that may arise
- Able to provide clerical assistance in office
- Able to communicate effectively with customers
- Reception and general administration duties
- Other activities as required.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Minimum 2+ years experience in fiber optic utility coordination.
- Minimum 1 year office administration experience.
- Working knowledge of Fiber optic systems as it relates to architecture, fiber to the home and service drops to residential and business clients.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to deal with multiple projects and conflicting deadlines.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering work plans.
- Must have a personal vehicle and valid Ontario driver’s license
- Familiar with industry codes, engineering practices, standards, and construction methods.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office productivity software.

**Experience**:

- Telecommunication or utility design: 2 years (required)
- Office Administration: 1 year
