SNC-Lavalin’s Major Projects division is in search of a **Contract and Commercial Coordinator** to join a transformative transit infrastructure project in Toronto. The **Contract and Commercial Coordinator** role will be part of a high-performing project team that is dedicated to delivering this complex undertaking through collaboration and a best-for-project vision. The role will report to the **Procurement & Contracts Manager**.

**How will you contribute to the team?**
- Creation of purchase orders.
- Tracking and receipting of goods and materials delivered to site. Material receiving reports.
- Rejection, return, replacement or credit for non-compliant goods and materials.
- Coordinating the subcontract formation process for award of new subcontract packages, including the preparation of proponents lists, managing the tender process, evaluation of quotations, and negotiation and execution of the subcontract.
- Tracking of all site-based financial commitments and ensuring invoices and applicable credits are received in a timely manner, are consistent with the requirements of the purchase order or contract and processed into the finance system.
- Assisting the Project Controls and Finance Teams with month end cost reconciliations, accruals and forecasting.
- Data entry of material, plant/equipment and labour dockets to enable daily progress reporting.
- Ordering, tracking and return of hired plant and equipment (ensuring idle equipment is returned in a timely manner, dealing with damage claims, charges are correct and in accordance with the agreed rates etc.).
- Organize and facilitate kick-off meetings with Subcontractors and attend progress review meetings.
- Tracking and managing Subcontractor compliance to contractual obligations e.g adherence to schedule and contractual witness/hold points, provision of quality documentation etc.
- Drafting and issuing all applicable contractual correspondence e.g. responding to change notices, extension of time claims, requests for information etc.

In addition to these key tasks, this role entails the following broader responsibilities:

- Assisting in the development of processes and procedures for the procurement, finance and contract management functions.
- Enforcing compliance of approved project plans and procedures.
- Coordinating with the procurement team and other project functions (e.g. construction, project controls, finance, legal, risk and insurance teams) on a regular basis.
- Creating and maintaining positive relationships with the site-based teams, the broader project teams, suppliers, subcontractors and third party services providers.
- .Reviewing project commitments to ensure both budget and expenditure follow the same methodology. Monitor package / project budgets
- Performing all other tasks related to the function.

**What will you contribute?**

This is a critical site-based role as the key procurement and finance support for our busy delivery team. We’re looking for someone who will own this role and take pride in being the essential ‘go to person’ for our delivery, procurement, finance and project controls functions.

Key experience and attributes which will help you succeed in this role are:

- 5-7 years of experience in contract and/or project management.
- Experience with cost reconciliation.
- Autonomous and proactive.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage a large volume of documents, thrive on variety and dealing with unexpected requests
- Ability to work in team.
- Rigorous, meticulous, precise in the execution of tasks and able to operate within strict compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Treats confidential information with discretion.
- Speaks and writes fluently in English.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude and solution-oriented approach.
- Excellent computer skills, MS Power Point, MS Word and Excel.
