This is a one year contract to cover for a maternity leave. Monday May 6th start date for one year.

We have two operating offices - one on Essa Road in Barrie and another on Coldwater Road in Orillia. Could work out of either office or both. There could be some remote work for the right person as well.

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. If you have a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead a team, we encourage you to apply.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and account reconciliation in Quickboks online
- Multiple payroll runs - including for employees and mortgage agents
- Complete month end close - including various commission and payroll accruals
- Calculate and present Key Performance Indicators
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support for decision-making
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities
- Perform account analysis and review financial transactions for accuracy
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing processes
- Oversee the preparation of tax returns and coordinate with external auditors
- Participate in monthly management meetings with the shareholder group and present financial data and analysis
- Assist with dividend calculations and management fees

**Experience**:

- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Must have experience with quickbooks online
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
